Neurofeedback
Interdisciplinary Treatment Center Papadimos Lydia - Thessaloniki
Neurofeedback is a scientifically proven brain training method to improve attention and focus. The exercise is carried out using a sensor on the practitioner's forehead to measure the electrical waves emitted by the brain (EEG) in real time. Excellent Brain software PC games have no joystick or controller and are played with the power of thought. The game progresses and the practitioner accumulates points only when the brain works in the right way for concentration and attention. Thus, with positive feedback the brain learns to operate at the frequency required for attention and concentration.
The most common application of neurofeedback is to improve concentration and attention in people with ADHD, i.e. attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
It is also applicable in situations related to stress, depression, learning difficulties, tension headaches, migraines, sleep disorders, food intake disorders, cognitive symptoms, neurological and motor symptoms.
Neurofeedback offers the possibility to learn to manage this activity in a way that makes us more efficient, by learning to recognize and modify information about our brain function.
The brain's learning process is based on the fact that, for example, if a child is trained to ride a bike, at first it takes effort, but then, thanks to the right combination of mental, emotional and physiological skills, he rides a bike without thinking about the process for to succeed. It's the same with adults, learning to drive and then 'auto' driving.
